Fords global trend-setter, the Explorer SUV, is being granted a 2016 makeover that will power it upmarket with more force, bonus features and real opulence.
Its a strategy already proven with the midsize crossover, Ford Edge, but with two rows of seats rather than the Explorers three rows. Although the Explorer is only being given a mild touch up, the Edge received a major redesign. The objective to attract a high-end market is clear with both.http://blog.chapmanfordaz.com (more…)
2016 Ford Explorer Suv gets updated look, More Power – Car Driving LOS ANGELES Blasphemy; heresy; tragedy. Its what many fans cried when Fords iconic Explorer SUV moved from a truck to a car-based platform for 2011. Of course, the number of those traditional SUV buyers have been …
Of course, the number of those traditional SUV buyers have been far outweighed by modern crossover buyers who prefer more room and better fuel economy to bushwhacking, off-road capabilities. Thismeans the latest, fifth-generation Explorer has been a sales success for Ford in a crowded, mid-size crossover segment filled with the likes of the Honda Pilot, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Nissan Pathfinder to name only a few. 2016 Ford Explorer Suv gets updated look, More Power – Car Driving. http://driving.ca

2008-2013 Peugeot 308 R Hybrid Service Repair There may have been a time when buyers had to choose between hybrid propulsion and performance prowess, but if the latest generation of hybrid hypercars have come to teach us anything, it’s that those times are disappearing like so many lane markers on the road behind us. And Peugeot is embodying that notion in the vehicle you see here. Peugeot 308 2007-2013 Petrol Diesel Workshop Repair Service Manual
Set to be unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show next week, the 308 R Hybrid combines the best of both worlds. It’s based on Peugeot’s mainstream sedan, but upgrades with a high-performance, plug-in-hybrid powertrain. A 1.6-liter turbo four is paired to two electric motors: one at the rear axle and one at the front, linked to the six-speed transmission. The result is a combined output of 500 horsepower, netting a 0-62-miles-per-hour time of 4.0 seconds flat, and covering the thousand-meter (3,281-foot) sprint in 22 seconds. All of which makes it far more radical than the conventional 308 R hot hatch concept presented at the last Frankfurt show.
Produced by the same Peugeot Sport operation that ran the company’s Le Mans, Dakar, Pikes Peak and other recent racing efforts, the 308 R Hybrid also features 19-inch wheels with low-profile tires riding on a wider track, additional ventilation carved into the bodywork, a beefed-up body kit, upgraded brakes, a leather interior with four bucket seats and a two-tone metallic blue and matte black paint job.
Pie-in-the-French-blue-sky as the 308 R Hybrid seems, we doubt it’ll ever see the inside of a showroom – or the outside of a convention center, for that matter. Peugeot is introducing a warmed-over 308S hatchback for the Chinese market at the same show, however, and there’s already the performance-oriented 308 GT available to buyers around the world. Peugeot has only released on image of the 308 R Hybrid, but we’ll be sure to update you when more images surface.

Over the 25 years that the Explorer has been sold, it has progressively moved on up, from a basic, family-oriented rough wagon to car that today feels more sophisticated. It’s finally here. Yes, gentlemen and ladies, that’s right: after nearly three months of waiting, and transit, and customs, and preparation, my Nissan Skyline GT-R has finally completed its 10,000-mile journey from Japan to America. I’ve welcomed it with open arms, and also the occasional curse word when I try to get into the driver’s seat by walking up to the passenger door. 2008-2013 Nissan skyline gtr r34 import Taxes – Car Service
You ‘d know all about my new Skyline GT-R if you followed me on Twitter, because I’ve been posting photos of it there like a first-time mother with Facebook access. I was especially proud of this photo from the Richmond airport, where I posed the Skyline– one of the most exciting high-performance Japanese cars of all time– with a sign welcoming me to Virginia, a state where they’ll give you a speeding ticket if your dog runs too fast at the park.
Today, I’m going to tell you the story of picking up the Skyline and driving it home, starting from the very first moment where I climbed in, twisted the key, fired up the engine, and couldn’t find reverse.
I’ve also summed up this story in a video, which is included below for your viewing pleasure. Since I’m aware that many of your workplaces have instituted a ban on motion pictures, I will also recount the experience for you the old-fashioned way: by writing about it on the Internet.
The story begins back in December, when I asked you what car I should buy to replace my Ferrari, and you overwhelmingly told me to import a Nissan Skyline GT-R from Japan. I called up Japanese Classics, noted importer of automobiles I crashed in Gran Turismo 2, and we spent the next two months on the phone once a week in order to fully report on the process of importing a car, from start to finish.
